Each clue will be accompanied by a photo in a social post.

Magesto at Horton Plaza Park Fountain

“Water that has healed this city since 1910. Magesto the Magick Healing Monster crossed over here first, drawn to the oldest healing waters downtown. Sit near the old fountain and look beneath what you’re sitting on. Then go find Gus — he watched it happen, and he’s painting what he saw.”
Grim at Balboa Theatre

“Stories have been told on this stage for over 100 years — and Grim the Stitchy Bear has been in the audience for all of them. A stitched-up soul crossed over here, waiting in the dark near where the stories begin. Look near the entrance. Then find Gus and ask him to tell you Grim’s story.”

Chubbles at Louis Bank of Commerce

“San Diego’s first granite building — the Jewel of the Gaslamp, where the city kept its fortunes since 1888. Chubbles the Wish Master Unicorn crossed over at the feet of the Jewel, because a bank is really just a building full of wishes. Look low at the columns. Then take your own wish to Gus — he’s painting in the Gaslamp right now.”
Numb Bunny at The Keating Building

“Victorian brick and iron on F Street. This building has been many things to many people — and Numb Bunny felt none of it. It crossed over into a recessed doorway and hasn’t moved since. Find where the old door hides. Then find Gus — he knows why Numb Bunny stopped feeling.”

Boris at The Yuma Building

“Two spires have watched over 5th Avenue since 1882 — and now something roosts in their shadow. Boris the Bat crossed over here, because every belfry needs its bat. Look at street level beneath the twin spires. Then fly south and find Gus before the sun goes down.”
Pumskull at The Historic Gas Lamp Posts — South Stretch

“The lights that named an entire district. Pumskull crossed over into the flames — one more glowing head among hundreds, hiding in plain sight. One lamp post on 5th between Market and Island holds his sketch at its base. Count from the corner. Then follow the lamps north — they lead to Gus.”

Sid at The Horton Grand Hotel

“The ghost in Room 309 has been here since 1887 — but he’s not alone anymore. Sid the Sleep Paralysis Demon crossed over at this hotel, watching over sleepers who never know he’s there. Something is waiting near the entrance. Find it — then go find Gus before Sid finds you.”
Skullgnome at Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House

“The oldest building downtown, and its most haunted. Skullgnome, Guardian of the Dead, crossed over at the gate of San Diego’s oldest ghost story — someone had to watch over the restless. Look near the garden gate, where something Kreepy has been waiting since 1850. Then find Gus and ask him who Skullgnome guards.”

Zuggs at The Bronze Dog Statues — Burn & Greyfriars Bobby

“Two dogs who never left — one watched over the dead for 14 years. Now there’s a third. Zuggs the Dozen Eyed Dog crossed over beside them, and not one of his twelve eyes ever closes. Find them at 4th and Island. Look between the paws. Then let all those eyes point you toward Gus.”
Hypnocat at The Gaslamp Welcome Arch

“Thousands walk under this arch every single day and never notice a thing. That’s Hypnocat’s doing — it crossed over at the gateway and has been hypnotizing the whole city ever since. Look at the feet of the gate to break the spell. Then snap out of it and go find Gus — one creature is still missing.”

Skellbo at The Final Lamp — 5th Avenue between F & G Street

“One creature is still missing. Skellbo the Gooli Monster was the last to cross over — at a lamp post on 5th between F and G, just steps from a man with a paintbrush. Find the final sketch, then look up. That’s Gus. The hunt ends with the person who saw all eleven crossings — say hi, get a photo, and welcome to the Kreepy Cuddles universe.”
